About Rafael J. Perez, MD, FACOG

The Center for Urogynecology and Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery is a leading provider of state-of-the-art healthcare services for women throughout the South Miami, FL, area. The practice features a relaxing environment and advanced technology aimed at providing patient-centered care for issues like menopause, infertility, pelvic organ prolapse, endometriosis, and incontinence, using cutting-edge approaches including FemiLift® laser vaginal rejuvenation and robot-assisted da Vinci® surgery. In addition, the practice offers cancer screening for breast cancer, cervical cancer, and ovarian cancer, including routine screening and screenings for women with specific risk factors for cancer.

Under the direction of Dr. Rafael Perez, M.D, F.A.C.O.G., the staff at the Center for Urogynecology and Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery is dedicated to providing patient-centered care aimed at helping women of all ages enjoy optimal health and wellness. Dr. Rafael Perez received his undergraduate degree at Harvard University and earned his medical degree at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. He completed his residency at Johns Hopkins affiliated Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Maryland. Dr. Perez is double-board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology and urogynecology, having trained under two of the most influential doctors in their respective fields: Dr. James Dorsey for laparoscopic surgery and Dr. Alf Bent for urogynecology.
